Heather Caliguire Fleming graduated from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. While at Boyd, she was a staffer on the Nevada Law Journal, was the Vice President for Fundraising and then the President of the Public Interest Law Association, and the Marshal for Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. Ms. Fleming also worked in the Small Business and Non-Profit Legal Clinic assisting clients in preparing contracts and setting up non-profits. Upon graduation, Ms. Fleming received the Dean’s Award.
Since law school, Ms. Fleming has handled a wide variety of cases, including personal injury and wrongful death litigation, insurance matters, and contract disputes. She is also the past chair of the ABA Women in IP’s GRIT subcommittee. GRIT is a project dedicated to teaching women about the grit and growth mindset to help them achieve professional success and enhance the effectiveness as well as the retention and promotion of women lawyers.
Prior to law school, Ms. Fleming received her BFA in theatre from Oklahoma State University, and her MFA in theatre from UNLV. She worked behind the scenes on a variety of theatre and film productions. Ms. Fleming and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with their pets.
Heather lives in North Las Vegas with her husband, Greg, and their two dogs and two cats.
